Reisa †When Dakota came to us, I knew one Giant was not enough and the search beggan for Giant nr. 2. After a lot of wondering and looking for the right type I decided to import a young female from a young kennel in Germany.
After a long and hard journey to pick up our new girl she was finally in my arms in January 2010 after a 4 weeks quarantine then 11 months old. Reisa was absolutely a lovely dog, so clam and really sweed. She did really well at shows and showed good working ability's. The name Reisa means in Icelandic Journey or travel. The word Reisa also can mean to build up something. Reisa had a terrible accident 31 July 2010 and said good bye to this world. What is left behind are fantastic memory's of an young dog with a bright future ahead of her. Reisa was everything I wanted in a Giant. Sweet curious, always willing to do something, calm and so Beautiful. Reisa could always put a smile on your face. She LOVED to hold somethings in her mouth.. specially dirty socks :). She also thought that she was not the 35 kg big animals that she was but more often a not just 3,5 kg little schnauzer. Reisa was a mamas girl! And the best place in the house was usually warped around the desk chair, in my arms in the sofa watching TV or on a pile of clothes on the bedroom floor at nights. Reisa really loved to work. We finished a basic obedience class together and Reisa constantly surprised me there. It was like she knew it all from the beginning. Reisa and I also started tracking and she was doing so well there. She left a big hole in my heart and she will be deeply missed. |
